The Royal Air Force Museum Laarbruch e.V. is taking part in the FREIHEIT-VRIJHEID series organised by the museum network Kulturraum Niederrhein e.V. with a special exhibition on this topic. The presence of the Royal Air Force in Germany during the Cold War contributed significantly to deterrence and stability in Europe and symbolised the UK’s continued commitment to the security of its NATO allies and the preservation of freedom until the collapse of the Warsaw Pact. The special exhibition opens on 17 May 2025 and can be visited during normal opening hours. These are Fri, Sat and Sun from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. By the way: Our museum is participating in the Kreis Klever KulTourtage and will therefore not charge admission for normal visitors on 17 and 18 May 2025. Guided museum tours are excluded. Free parking is available on site.
